Products Description of Casein CAS#9000-71-9
Casein is a natural phosphoprotein extracted from bovine milk, consisting of a mixture of α, β and κ-casein fractions. It appears as an off-white to yellow powder, nearly odorless, with an isoelectric point around pH 4.6. It is barely soluble in water and ethanol, but dissolves readily in dilute alkaline solutions and concentrated acids while precipitating under weak acidic conditions.
It features outstanding film-forming, emulsifying and adhesive properties. Available in food grade and industrial grade, it is processed under controlled acid or rennet coagulation followed by drying and milling. This product delivers rich amino acid nutrition and stable colloidal performance.

Product Application of Casein CAS#9000-71-9
Casein serves as a multifunctional natural protein widely used across food, industrial and biochemical sectors.
In food industry, it acts as a nutritional fortifier, emulsifier and texture modifier for cheese, dairy desserts, protein drinks and bakery goods, supplying abundant essential amino acids.
Industrially, its excellent adhesive and film-forming capacity makes it suitable for water-based paints, paper coatings, leather finishing, glue and pigment binders.
It is also utilized in cosmetic and personal care formulations as a skin-conditioning ingredient. In laboratory and pharmaceutical fields, it works as a substrate for biochemical assays, culture medium additive and raw material for protein derivatives.
